Abstract
We have computed zero-temperature properties of the t-J Hamiltonian us ing the formalism of anyon superconductivity. The results of these cal culations agree quantitatively with exact-diagonalization studies. The se properties include the optical conductivity, the ground-state kinet ic energy, and the ground-state magnetic energy. Implicit in this calc ulational procedure is a Kosterlitz-Thouless transition temperature fo r the onset of superconductivity.
