A QCD-motivated model for comparing multiplicity distributions initiat
ed by light and heavy quarks in e+e- annihilations is presented. The m
ain result is the following: the multiplicity distribution induced by
heavy quarks (Q) is the same as in the case of light quarks (l), but d
isplaced in n, P(Q) (n) congruent-to P(l)(n - nu(Q)), nu(Q) being the
excess multiplicity. The value of the cumulants K(q) for heavy quarks
will oscillate in q around the light quark cumulants. The rapidity int
erval dependence of the distributions is discussed.
