The paper describes a magnetic system generating a fild up to 1 kG for
experiments involving oscillations in the angular distribution of qua
nta due to the annihilation of orthopositronium in a magnetic field an
d lists its parameters. The magnetic field's nonuniformity over a work
ing volume of 5.10(-2) cm3 is under 0.6%, the long-term instability of
the field induction is under 0.1%.
