Bl. Su et D. Barthomeuf, DECREASE IN THE REDOX PROPERTIES OF SAPO-37 ZEOLITE WITH INCREASING SI CONTENT, Bulletin de la Societe chimique de France, 131(7), 1994, pp. 730-732
The changes in the redox properties of SAPO-37, a silicoaluminophospha
te-based catalyst, were using EPR spectroscopy. The number of oxidizin
g and reducing sites decreased as the Si content rose. This is related
to the clustering Of SiO4 tetrahedra forming Si islands. The results
confirm the hypothesis that the redox sites are associated with the sa
me species as acid-base centers, ie Si-OH-Al entities.
