V. Romanenko et al., REACTIONS OF STABLE (PHOSPHINO) (SILYL) CARBENES WITH IMINOPHOSPHINES, Bulletin de la Societe chimique de France, 131(7), 1994, pp. 748-753
[(Dialkylamino) (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidino)phosphino] (trimethylsi
lyl)carbenes 1 and 2 react with [(2,4,6-tritert-butylphenyl)imino]phos
phines bearing different substituents at phosphorus, 3a-e, leading to
methylenephosphine-iminophosphoranes 4a-e. With P-chloro and P-bromo i
minophosphines 3d,e, besides the formation of 4d,e, a small amount of
the isomeric methylenephosphorane-iminophosphines 6d,e was obtained. I
n contrast, [bis(dicyclohexylamino)phosphino] trimethylsilyldiazometha
ne 7 reacts with iodo [(2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenyl)imino]phosphine 3f
to give triazaphosphole 8. These results demonstrate the carbene behav
ior of phosphino(silyl)carbenes and bring further evidence of the synt
hetic importance of stable carbenes.
