Abstract
A nonrelativistic theory of the radiation reaction interaction is form ulated, which is based on the strict implementation of the uncertainty principle into classical theory. The same idea is used in formulating the semiclassical theory of the radiation reaction interaction. The s emiclassical and classical formulations give the same answer for the d ynamics of a particle in a plane electromagnetic wave.
