A. Shyam et al., TECHNIQUE TO MEASURE SMALL BURST OF NEUTRONS IN PRESENCE OF BACKGROUND OF OTHER RADIATIONS AND ELECTROMAGNETIC-INTERFERENCE, Indian Journal of Pure & Applied Physics, 32(10), 1994, pp. 837-841
Technique and instrumentation to detect, reliably, small number of neu
trons emitted in sharp burst (duration less-than-or-equal-to 10(-6) s)
has been developed. Using this method typically a congruent-to 10(1)
neutron/burst could be detected in the presence of other interfering r
adiations such as X/gamma-rays and electromagnetic interference. The d
evice could be triggered to detect single bursts. Or it could be opera
ted in free-running mode, to record continuously, randomly occurring b
urst and store them in a personal computer.
