Abstract
We report the implementation of the laser ablation technique used for thin film growth. Some of the physical mechanisms responsible for the process are studied as well as the present state of this field. The ex perimental setup in the high energy pulsed regime is described togethe r with the spectroscopic system used to characterize the laser induced plasma.
