Abstract
We construct the expansion of the Coulomb potential in terms of toroid al harmonics. We emphasize the R-separability of the Laplace equation in contrast with the total separability in other coordinates. We discu ss some electrostatic and magnetostatic problems to illustrate the use fulness of such an expansion.
