DIC-syndrome frequently associated with anemia is one of rheumatoid ar
thritis complications which runs latently in the presence of hypercoag
ulation and low fibrinolytic activity. The development of DIC syndrome
in the above patients correlates with the process activity, pattern o
f the disease, is independent of rheumatoid arthritis stage and durati
on, the patients' age, immunological and serological characteristics.
Concentrations of circulating immune complexes and DIC-syndrome are re
lated in rheumatoid arthritis patients with anemia.
