Abstract
The collection of biological material concerning the reproduction of r iver otter was carried out in 1967 to 1992. The genitalia of 84 adult animals and 20 youngs of the age less than one year were studied for h ystological analysis. The study revealed, that males and females becom e nubilous at the age of more than two years. A distinct breeding seas on is absent, and different females are able to copulate in different seasons, while alult males are able to fecundate them in any season.
