Measurement of gamma, gammagamma-coincidence, internal conversion elec
tron and gamma-ray angular distribution spectra for the Sn-114(p, ngam
ma) Sb-114 reaction were made at 7.8 and 8.0 MeV bombarding proton ene
rgies with Ge gamma-ray and superconducting magnetic lens-plus-Si(Li)
electron spectrometers. The energies and relative intensities of 74 Sb
-114 gamma rays, as well as the internal conversion coefficients of 31
Sb-114 transitions have been determined and new angular distribution
data have been obtained for 26 gamma rays. From this information, a mo
re complete and consistent level scheme has been deduced. Spin and par
ity values have been determined from the internal conversion coefficie
nts, Hauser-Feshbach analysis of the (p, n) reaction cross sections, a
nd the gamma-ray angular distributions. The low-lying levels were grou
ped into proton-neutron multiplets and the energy splitting of these m
ultiplets have been interpreted in terms of the parabolic rule.
