Immunity status of 106 patients with various forms of lichen ruber pla
nus was examined with due consideration for clinical manifestation of
the process. Mature T and B cells, cells with T-helper and T-suppresso
r phenotype were assessed using monoclonal antibodies. Immunoglobulins
were measured by radial immunodiffusion in agar. A correlation betwee
n two signs characteristic of the immunity status of patients with lic
hen planus was detected: deficiency of T cells with suppressor phenoty
pe and increased IgG level, this correlation becoming still more marke
d as the process progresses. IgA level is reduced. The immunity status
was found not related to disease clinical form.
