Abstract
Blood levels of hydrocortisone, ACTH, somatotropic hormone (STH), insu lin, thyrotropic hormone (TTH), triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxin (T4) w ere measured in 50 patients with atopic dermatosis treated by exercise therapy. Foci of lesions resolved in 26 patients, this being parallel ed by a reliable increase of hydrocortisone and STH concentrations and by a unidirectional increase of TTH and insulin levels and a decrease of T4 concentration. A noticeable improvement was attained in 15 pati ents (they developed an expressed tendency to increase of hydrocortiso ne and T4) concentrations, in 8 cases the clinical status improved (a tendency, though poorly manifest, to increase of hydrocortisone and ST H levels could be traced).
