Abstract
Corynebacterium diphtheriae is well known as etiologic agent of the di phtheritic pharyngitis, but less in systemic infections and endocardit is. Generally, Corynebacterium is only considered when it is isolated from several blood samples or several infectious sites (wound, cathete r ...) or normally sterile fluid. We reported one case of C. diphtheri ae septicemia with infectious ascitis in a immunodeficient patient. Th e colonisation of the bacteria is discussed after review of literature .
