Abstract
Maxillary and mandibular lesions in neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) in patients are described. Radiographic manifestations include radiolucen t lesions with well-defined, poorly-defined or irregular diffuse borde rs. Mandibular lesions were not associated with the inferior alveolar nerve as it coursed within the mandible. In three patients the lesions extended considerably into the cranial bones. The necessity for routi ne radiographic and CT evaluation of NF1 patients is emphasized.
