We determine the N(c) dependence of the resonance contributions to the
Adler-Weisberger sum rule for the inverse square of the axial charge-
coupling constant, and show that in the large N(c) limit the contribut
ions of the radially excited even-parity resonances, as the P11 and P'
33 excitations, scale as O(1/N(c)). Consistency with the 1/N(c)2 scali
ng of the 1/g(A)2 term in the sum rule requires these contributions to
cancel each other out.
