Ms. Uretazanartu et P. Correa, HYDRAZINE OXIDATION ON IRIDIUM AND IRIDIU M MODIFIED BY LEAD ELECTRODE, IN ALKALINE-SOLUTION, Boletin de la Sociedad Chilena de Quimica, 39(3), 1994, pp. 245-251
The electro-oxidation of hydrazine was studied in alkaline medium, bot
h on pure iridium electrode and on iridium electrode modified with sub
monolayer deposits of lead. The catalytic effect of these electrodes w
as evaluated by cyclic voltammetry. It was demonstrated that hydrazine
oxidation occurs at two potential zones and by different mechanisms.
The reaction occurs at a more positive potential in the modified elect
rodes surface, while I(p) (peak current intensity) remains almost cons
tant.
