The solubility diagrams at different temperatures (5-degrees-C, 21-deg
rees-C, 50-degrees-C and 96-degrees-C), for the ternary system: water
- pentaerythritol - calcium formate, experimentally established, are p
resented. It is also related the way in which these diagrams are used
for reasonable carrying out the separation through concentration and c
rystallization from aqueous solutions obtained in a technological proc
ess. A climbing film evaporating plant for the aqueous pentaerythritol
and calcium formate solutions concentration was constructed and teste
d. On the basis of the determined solubility diagrams and of experimen
tal result, the operating conditions for evaporating pentaerythritol s
olutions of different concentrations were proposed.
