Abstract
2-F-Alkylethylamines are very important intermediates in organic fluor ine chemistry. In this work, it has been demonstrated that it is possi ble to combine the advantages of two techniques, i.e. phase-transfer c atalysis and the use of water as a dispersing medium, in the reduction of 2-F-alkylethyl azides, and hence simplify significantly the synthe sis of such amines from 2-F-alkylethyl iodides.
