Four-years experience with high-resolution electrocardiography in pati
ents with different cardiac diseases is summarized in the paper. Sever
al computer program packages were used in the assessment of high-resol
ution ECGs. Results of analysis of ventricular late potentials, spectr
al temporal mapping of the QRS complex, dipole electrocardiotopography
(decarto) were compared in patients before and after coronary surgery
, in patients with different forms of Ischemic heart disease and in pa
tients with and without cardiac arrhythmias. Correlations were found b
etween parameters of new methods of evaluation of the process of depol
arization (spectral temporal mapping and decarto) and parameters of an
alysis of ventricular late potentials. This allows to conclude that hi
gh-resolution ECG is able to reveal concealed changes of electrophysio
logic properties of the myocardium.
