Abstract
The palladium M(4,5)N(1)N(2,3) transition, which is almost absent in p alladium metal, becomes quite intense in palladium oxide. The intensit y of the transition is linearly proportional to the amount of palladiu m oxide. This means that AES can be used for quantitative analysis of palladium oxide layers or supported palladium oxide particles. (C) 199 7 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
