The possibility of topical diagnosis of of coronary atherosclerosis wi
th the use of different ECG criteria of positive graded exercise tests
and of other contemporary noninvasive methods of investigation of pat
ients with ischemic heart disease is rewieved. Methods considered incl
ude echocardiography, radionuclide imaging techniques (myocardial scin
tigraphy with TI-201, ventriculography with Technetium-99m etc.). Adva
ntages and limitations of different methods and their ability to estim
ate the localization of atherosclerotic lesions in coronary arteries a
re described.
