Abstract
An effect of radiation ''polarization collapse'' in Nd-glass laser wit h passive shutter made on LiF:F2- crystal is discovered. The effect co nsists in reduction of degradation from multistable states of radiatio n polarization with encrease of pulse number at the initial stage of l aser action. The connection of the effect with F2- color centers destr uction at two-photon absorption from excited-states centers is found.
