Abstract
In the past decade Helicobacter pylori has become recognized for its i mportant role in gastroduodenal disease. An important epidemiological association with gastric cancer has been shown. Recent insights into i ts microbiology and pathogenesis have been gained. Many accurate diagn ostic tests and multiple treatment regimens are now available.
