Abstract
A new fossil Chrysopidae from the Luxembourg Upper Lias, Protoaristeny mphes bascharagensis, n. gen., sp. n. appears to be the sister-genus o f Aristenymphes Panfilov, 1980 known from the Upper Jurassic of Turkes tan. A commented list of the known Mesozoic Chrysopidae is given. A te ntative phylogenetic study of the Mesozoic Chrysopidae shows that both Mesochrysopinae and Limaiinae are not clearly based on autapomorphies and appear to be paraphyletic.
