A. Nel et M. Henrotay, MESOZOIC CHRYSOPIDAE - PRESENT STATE OF K NOWLEDGE - DESCRIPTION OF ANEW GENUS AND A NEW SPECIES FROM THE LOWER JURASSIC (LIAS) (INSECTA, NEUROPTERA), Annales de la Societe entomologique de France, 30(3), 1994, pp. 293-318
A new fossil Chrysopidae from the Luxembourg Upper Lias, Protoaristeny
mphes bascharagensis, n. gen., sp. n. appears to be the sister-genus o
f Aristenymphes Panfilov, 1980 known from the Upper Jurassic of Turkes
tan. A commented list of the known Mesozoic Chrysopidae is given. A te
ntative phylogenetic study of the Mesozoic Chrysopidae shows that both
Mesochrysopinae and Limaiinae are not clearly based on autapomorphies
and appear to be paraphyletic.
