Abstract
In this work we have described five new species of genus Pseudosinella : P. aidamar, sp. n., P. cobosae, sp. n., P. serrana, sp. n., P. bach ae, sp. n. and P. gajui, sp. n. from different soils in the Iberian Pe ninsula : Sierra de Gredos (Avila), Sierra de Guadarrama (Madrid) and riverside areas in Cordoba. We discuss about the importance of adaptiv e and non-adaptive characters in the phylogeny of the genus.
