Abstract
The paper presents results of numerical micromechanics fatigue charact erization analysis of Ti-6Al-4V/SiC composites having different fibre array packs and volume fractions. Multiaxial fatigue criteria which ta ke the residual stress effects into consideration are applied. The res ults obtained show that optimum fibre volume fraction for reinforcemen t is dependent on required design load.
