Abstract
The compounds isoknipholone, isoknipholone anthrone, foliosone and iso foliosone were isolated from the stem of Kniphofia foliosa and their s tructures determined by spectral analyses. In addition, the known comp ounds, aloesaponol III, aloesaponol III-8-methyl ether and 4,6-dihydro xy-2-methoxyacetophenone were isolated and identified.
