Abstract
(+)-7',7'-Dimethyl-5-hydroxy-2R,3 S-trans-pubeschin was isolated from the methanol extract of the heartwood of Entandrophragma cylindricum. Its structure was determined on the basis of spectroscopic data and a partial synthesis from (+)-catechin.
