Abstract
Oscillatory solutions of the ''historical'' gap equations with very st rong (retarded, step-function and softened) interactions are obtained for all values of the oscillation period (in the energy variable). The y bunch around metastable solutions that belong alternately to attract ive and repulsive interactions.
