Abstract
The authors describe how the power efficiency of an LINC transmitter i s affected by the modulation scheme when using a conventional power co mbiner to recombine the constant envelope signals. The efficiency orig inating from the recombining peak at 60% for low-level modulation sche mes but decreases to below 20% for high level schemes.
