Abstract
An adaptive algorithm to enhance the teletraffic performance off a cit y street microcellular network having TDMA/FCA links is described. The algorithm controls the handovers to equalise the load at the BS, as w ell as maintaining link quality. An increase in channel utilisation of 37% for a blocking probability of 2% is achieved compared with the no n-equalised BS loading method.
