Abstract
The simulation of beam-wave interaction devices usually requires calcu lation of macroscopic source terms to allow for the contribution of el ectrons to the electromagnetic wave. In certain circumstances this app roach may be problematic. This can be overcome if the beam-wave intera ction is modelled using a TLM technique.
