Db. Ferguson et al., 2-DIMENSIONAL CORRELATION OF SOLID-STATE AND LIQUID-STATE NMR USING ALASER TEMPERATURE-JUMP, Chemical physics letters, 229(1-2), 1994, pp. 71-74
Solid state NMR spectra and the corresponding liquid state spectra hav
e been interrelated through two-dimensional experiments with a fast te
mperature jump during the mixing time. This jump must, as a minimum re
quirement, be shorter than the relevant spin lattice relaxation times,
and was implemented using a CO2 laser heater. As the first demonstrat
ion of this experiment we report a 2D H-1 solid-liquid spectrum of cam
phor. Suggested applications of future 2D temperature jump experiments
include studies of reversible chemical reactions, reorientational dyn
amics, phase behavior, and magnetic and electrical properties.
