Abstract
This review article describes applications of X-ray diffraction method s in pharmaceutical research, development and drug industry. The influ ence of crystal habit and internal structure (crystalline, amorphous) on drug properties and technology is mentioned. Crystallographic datab ases and the role of X-ray structure studies in drug design are also i ncluded.
