Abstract
Condensation of 4-(N-morpholino)-aniline (I) with substituted arylalde hydes (II) furnishes the corresponding arylidene-4-(N-morpholino)-anil ines (III), which on treatment with thioglycolic acid undergo cyclocon densation to afford yl-3-(4-N-morpholinophenyl)-1,3-thiazolidin-4-ones (IV). These compounds have been characterized through their mass and H-1-nmr spectral data. Antibacterial and cytotoxic activities of these compounds have also been evaluated.
