We calculate the leading weak corrections at O(m(t)(2)/v(2)) to the QC
D production of heavy top quark pairs via <q(q)over bar> --> <t(t)over
bar> at hadron colliders and compare them with the complete one-loop
weak corrections. We find that these corrections dominate the threshol
d region for a heavy top quark if the Higgs boson is light. For a heav
y Higgs boson, these corrections are generally small. The chromo-anapo
le form factor of the top quark and effects of parity violation are st
udied in the Standard Model (SM). The parity violation effect in <q(q)
over bar> --> g --> <t(t)over bar> from the SM weak corrections is fou
nd to be very small, so any observation of large parity violation in t
his process would indicate new physics. The polarization of the <t(t)o
ver bar> pairs is also discussed, including the effect that this has o
n proposed techniques for measuring the top quark mass.
