Structural data derived from X-ray powder diffraction and EXAFS spectr
oscopy are presented for iodosylbenzene (PhlO) and the imido analogue,
PhlNso(2)-4-Me-C6H4, which indicate that these compounds are polymeri
c in the solid state.
