Abstract
9-Alkyl 6,7-benzomorphans 5,6-hexahydro-11-alkyl-2,6-methano-3-benzazo cines) are important selective ligands of sigma receptor sites; their asymmetric synthesis starting with (1R,2R)- or 2S)-1-hydroxymethyl-2-a lkyl-1,2-dihydronaphthalene is described.
