Abstract
For the North American PM industry, 1993 was a year of outstanding gro wth, and prospects for the future appear excellent in view of the will ingness of the automotive industry to design greater numbers of PM com ponents into forthcoming models. Activity in other sectors of the indu stry is also good. A brief review of the South American industry sugge sts recovering levels of activity centred on Brazil and Argentina.
