Abstract
The KK mouse strain shows inherently glucose intolerance and insulin r esistance. When KK mice become obese by aging, dietary means or other ways, such a chemical diabetic state is changed to overt diabetic stat e associated with frank hyperglycemia and glucosuria. Therefore, the K K mouse is a good model for investigating a process of expression of o besity-associated diabetes.
