Abstract
Patients with prefrontal behavioral syndromes (dysexecutive, disinhibi ted, and apathetic) present a significant therapeutic challenge that d emands the integration of psychopharmacologic, behavioral, and systemi c interventions. Unfortunately, the behavioral disturbances of such pa tients are frequently misinterpreted and therefore inadequately treate d. This article describes the various strategies that are available to the clinician in treating patients with prefrontal deficits.
