The four texture zero mass matrices have been investigated in the cont
ext of the latest data regarding m(t)(pole), V-CKM elements, angles of
the unitarity triangle, etc. The present model, apart from accommodat
ing m(t)(pole) = 175 +/- 15 GeV, is able to reproduce \V-cb\ = 0.038 /- 0.003, \V-ub/V-cb\ = 0.08 +/- 0.02 and predicts \V-td\ to be in the
range 0.005-0.012. Furthermore, the angles of the unitarity triangle,
relating to the CP-violating asymmetries, have been predicted to be s
in 2 beta approximate to 0.5 with sin 2 alpha taking two ranges, viz,
0.6 less than or equal to sin 2 alpha less than or equal to 1.0 and -1
.0 less than or equal to sin 2 alpha - 0.1. The implications of V-td v
alues on the CP-violating phase of V-CKM as well as some rare B decays
have also been investigated.
