Abstract
Wittig alkylidenations give thermodynamically governed ratios of (E) a nd (Z) disubstituted alkenes if run under daylight lamp irradiation. T his ratio is ca. 99:1 for l-aryl-2-alkylethenes and ca. 3:1 for 1,2-di alkylethenes.
