Abstract
The coordination environment of the tin atom in 2-triphenylstannyl 1,2 -benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one 1,1-dioxide . quinoline N-oxide, C34H26N2O3S Sn, is a trigonal bipyramid in which the ipso-carbons of the phenyl ri ngs (Sn - C = 2.117(9) angstrom, 2.122(9) angstrom, 2.128(9) angstrom; SIGMA C - Sn - C = 359.9(9)-degrees) comprise the equatorial, and the imido nitrogen of the 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H)-onyl 1,1-dioxide anio n (Sn - N = 2.266(7) angstrom) and the oxygen of quinoline N-oxide don or (Sn <-- O = 2.319(6) angstrom) the apical (O - Sn <-- O = 175.4(2)d egrees) sites.
