The main water source in the Arabian Gulf States is from underground a
quifers or seawater desalination with a capacity of 5 Gega liter per d
ay (half the global capacity). Three tiers of water consumption are co
rrelated to three costing strategies in inverse relation between them
justified by production interchangeability and savings in coproduction
plants. Alternatives to desalination considered to augment water supp
ly are conservation, waste water reuse, and extensive exploration.
