The effect of high-temperature thermomechanical treatment on the struc
ture and properties of 20GS steel were determined upon two strengtheni
ng processes: one-stage and two-stage cooling. Corrosion cracking test
s were carried out in a boiling nitrate solution. The two-stage coolin
g process of thermal strengthening improves the corrosion cracking-res
istance.
