Abstract
The thermal decomposition of Zn-5(OH)(8)Cl-2.H2O and beta-Zn(OH)Cl mat erials under several experimental conditions has been studied by therm al analysis, X-ray powder diffraction and X-ray high-temperature powde r diffraction techniques, Several reaction schemes are proposed to acc ount for thermal decomposition reactions undergone by both zinc hydrox ide chlorides.
