Pk. Banerjee et Bm. Reddy, STATISTICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF X-BAND LINE-OF-SIGHT MULTIPATH-FADINGAND ITS ASSOCIATED VERTICAL DRIFT VELOCITY, Indian journal of radio & space physics, 23(5), 1994, pp. 318-322
Some useful regression relationships have been worked out for one of t
he hops (Chapraula-Sikandarabad) of Delhi-Sikandarabad 11 GHz microwav
e line-of-sight link based on multipath observations spread over two s
uccessive years. Simple relationships for fade occurrence probability
(P), number of fades (N), average fade duration (t) and the 'time belo
w level' (T) have been given. In addition, an important meteorological
parameter, namely, the average vertical drift velocity has been worke
d out for various Fresnel zone heights and fade depths from the number
of fades and average fade duration data based on a method suggested b
y Bullington [Bell Syst Tech J (USA), 50 (1971) 2039].
